Restraint stress as it influences the I131 uptake of rat thyroid and the modification by chlorpromazine

I311 uptake was measured 4 and 24 hours after the injection of radioactive iodine in rats subjected to restraint stress for 18 hours after pretreatment with chlorpromazine (2 and 10 mg/kg) alone and in combination with restraint stress. In all these animals 1131 uptake hours, the reduction being 'more was reduced both after 4 and 24 marked after 4 hours.
